Northeastern Mobile County in southwestern Alabama... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 319 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall which is leading to flash flooding in Saraland, Satsuma, and Creola. Between 6 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch is possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Saraland, Satsuma, Creola, Axis, Mount Vernon, Movico, Salco, Barry Village, Bucks, Chastang, Hatters, Pennsylvania, Fort Stoddard, Celeste, Vaughn, Mackies, Latham and Oak Grove. Numerous houses and streets flood east of the railroad between Bayou Sara and Norton Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 8.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.5 feet this evening.
